The Descent 2

dan Salam Takziah buat keluarga Allahyarham Shamsudin (DIN Glamer).

Dengan dukacitanya dimaklumkan , baru sebentar tadi saya menerima berita daripada Abg Man ,

memaklumkan yang seniman serba boleh, penyair , pelakon, penyanyi, aktivis sastera dan Dj yang tidak asing di Perak dan di Malaysia iaitu sdr Shamsudin Atau lebih dikenali sebagai Abg Din Glamer telah kembali ke rahmatullah pada pukul 06.30 pagi - 20 April 2010 (Selasa) .

Sebelum ini beliau dirawat di Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun, Ipoh berakibat daripada sakit buah pinggang.

Beliau juga seorang anggota Polis Diraja Malaysia yang sungguh berdidikasi, berdisiplin tinggi dan mudah didampingi oleh sesiapa sahaja tidak kira agama, keturunan mahupun bangsa .

Marilah sama kita mendoakan agar roh beliau dicucuri rahmat

Al-Fatihah.

Tips Indoor | Fotografi Perkahwinan - Sumber Daripada Fotomedia Thread

Seseorang jurugambar perlu melengkapkan pengetahuan dan pengalaman kerana lazimnya tugasan yg melibatkan indoor shot ini memerlukan kita menggunakan sepenuhnya pengetahuan basic iaitu aperture, shutter, ISO, WB dan pengcahayaan natural & flash. Selain peralatan yg mencukupi, perkara2 asas tersebut adalah kunci kepada penghasilan gambar yg bernilai komersil dan berseni.

Antara peralatan basic yg perlu ada utk penggambaran low light:-

1. Lensa Kit lens / general zoom

Lazimnya lensa ini juga mempunyai bukaan normal wide 17mm sehingga tele 70mm. Cukup utk merakamkan candid, insurance foto dan grup foto.

2. Lensa Tele

Biasanya mempunyai range zoom antara 70mm hingga 300mm. Lensa yg mempunyai aperture besar atau lebih dikenali dgn "fast lens" adalah satu kelebihan. Sesuai utk candid.

3. Prime lens

Prime lens adalah lens yg mempunyai range tetap dan biasanya mempunyai fix aperture. Lazimnya lens ini mempunyai aperture yg besar dan menjadikan foto anda lebih artistik jika di apply pada foto yg berunsur kreatif. Sesuai utk detail shoot, candid dan general foto.

4. Flash

Merupakan alat terpenting utk bantuan pencahayaan. Sepanjang pengalaman saya, 90% foto indoor saya rakamkan dengan penggunaan flash. Pastikan anda mempunyai set bateri yg mencukupi.

Keempat2 aksesori di atas adalah perkara basic yg perlu ada sekiranya anda ingin merakamkan foto2 indoor yg menarik dan cemerlang. Aksesori lain seperti lensa ultra wide angle, superzoom lens 18-200, Stofen, GFII Lightsphere juga adalah alat tambahan yg dapat menghasilkan foto anda dengan lebih menarik dgn cara yg lebih mudah lagi. Tetapi pada saya, dua lens iaitu kitlens dan tele dan satu flash memadai sebagai permulaan utk anda mengorak langkah menimba pengalaman dalam merakamkan foto low light.

Jurugambar yg ingin serius dalam fotografi perkahwinan tidak akan lari dari menghadapi keadaan seperti begini. Oleh itu, jika anda belum mahir dalam selok belok low light, disarankan anda menjalani sessi amali bersama jurugambar2 yg biasa membuat penggambaran di dalam dewan. Biarpun tanpa bayaran, pengalaman adalah pelajaran yang paling berharga jika anda benar2 inginkan kemahiran dalam skill low light.

Sesetengah jurugambar baru, agak takut untuk menggunakan kombinasi shutter slow, aperture kecil, penggunaan ISO tinggi melebihi 800 ke atas, penggunaan direct flash, dan ada juga yg takut menggubah WB selain dari WB auto. Anggapan itu semua perlu dibuang ketepi kerana tanpa pendedahan dan pengalaman, percayalah, anda tidak akan menjadi seorang jurugambar yg berjaya.

Sebagai jurugambar perkahwinan moden, bidang kerja ini biasanya byk melibatkan penggambaran di dalam Hotel, Ballroom, Dewan, dan juga restoran2 mewah. Itulah yg membezakan antara jurugambar moden dengan jurugambar tradisional dimana anda tiada masa dan ruang utk membawa peralatan pengcahayaan spt strobe yg lazimnya dgunakan oleh kebanyakan jurugambar2 tradisional. Oleh itu, sebelum anda keluar menerima tugasan penggambaran di dalam dewan, lengkapkan dulu diri anda dengan kemahiran spt yg saya sebutkan tadi.

Ingin ditekankan bahawa selain compotiion / art of seeing yg menarik, kemahiran basic bagaimana utk mengendalikan kamera dalam keadaan low light adalah merupakan perkara asas yg perlu didalami sepenuhnya. Perkara utama yg perlu di ambil kira ialah mendapatkan "insurance" photo terlebih dahulu sblm berkira2 utk bermain dengan karya kreatif atau berseni. Insurance photo adalah dimana gambar wajib yg perlu ada pada setiap acara dan majlis seperti kedatangan tetamu, kaunter pendaftaran, majlis memotong kek dan grup foto. Perkara2 ini perlu ada dan wajib ada dan boleh juga diselang seli dengan foto yg berunsur kreatif sekiranya berpeluang utk merakamkannya.

Selain itu, detail shoot juga perlu dimana ianya merujuk kepada foto yg melibatkan barang2 perhiasan di meja spt gift, bunga telur, bunga rampai, pelamin dan sebagainya. Sebagai seorang jurugambar perkahwinan yg dibayar, anda perlu mencari 80% gambar yg menjadi dari jumlah shoot anda dimana shoot2 tersebut adalah shoot yg memaparkan pelbagai angle, moment dan sebagainya. Bukan senang utk mendapatkan jumlah 80% itu tambahan pula jika diambil di dalam dewan yg mempunyai pencahayaan yg agak terhad.

Fikirkanlah, betapa susahnya utk kita bekerja mendapatkan shoot2 yg sebegini. Adakah sanggup kita bekerja dengan bayaran yg agak murah? jika kita berkerja dgn orang sering kali kita merungut jika dibayar murah dgn kerja yg tak setimpal, begitulah sebaliknya. Bayaran utk kerja2 sebegini juga ada tahap2nya setimpal dengan pengetahuan dan kemahiran yg kita ada. Dibawah ini ialah sedikit contoh dan penerangan yg saya inginkan kongsikan bersama. InsyaAllah, di lain masa berharap ramai lagi yg sudi berkongsi pengalaman ketika shoot indoor. wassalam.

Tiger Skin Web Design Tutorial - Photoshop Tutorial

This tutorial demonstrates how to make a website with a realistic tiger skin texture.
Open up Photoshop, make a new image, and follow along with this tutorial.

1 – Creating some diamonds

Make a new layer.
Select a rectangular area, as shown in diagram [a].
Fill the area with black.
Press Ctrl+T to Transform the selection. Move the cursor near the bottom right of your rectangle, so it turns into a curved arrow. This arrow allows you to rotate the object. Rotate your rectangle slightly, as shown in diagram [b].
While holding Ctrl and Alt, drag the rightmost point upwards, until the shape resembles a diamond (no need to be exact), as in diagram [c]. (Holding Ctrl allows you to move one corner by itself, and Alt mirrors your actions, which moves the leftmost point downwards in this case.)
Press Enter to confirm the changes.

2 – Replicating the diamonds

With the Move Tool selected, hold down Alt, and drag your diamond somewhere else. This makes a copy of the diamond. Make about five copies of the diamond this way.
Once you've made your copies, press Ctrl+T to transform the current diamond. Drag its corner a bit, to make it different in some way.
Hold Alt and use the Move Tool to make copies of your new diamond. Arrange all your diamonds in an irregular line, as shown. Vary the position of the diamonds a bit, but try to keep the bottoms of the diamonds all at around the same height.

3 – Turning the diamonds into tiger stripes

Merge all your diamonds onto one layer. Do this by clicking on a layer in the layers list and pressing Ctrl+E to merge it with the layer below it. (Don't merge anything into the Background layer.)
Press Ctrl+T to transform the diamonds. You may need to Zoom out (Ctrl -) at this point.
Elongate the selection, by dragging the bottom down and the top up. Drag the whole selection upwards, so you can only see the bottoms of the diamonds, as shown in the diagram. Grab the corner and rotate the stripes slightly.
If you're not happy with your stripes, click on the History tab, undo some steps, move your diamonds around, and try again.

4 – Adding a Wave to the stripes

Click Filter, Distort, Wave. Set the Number of Generators to 1, the Wavelength to 120 (both sliders), and the Amplitude to 15 (both sliders).
Click "Randomize" a couple of times, until you get some nice curves.
Click OK.

5 – Setting up a colour Gradient

Select the Gradient Tool. In Photoshop 5.5, this is a tool on its own. In Photoshop 6.0 and 7.0, you'll need to hold down on the Paint Bucket Tool to see it.
Click on the visual representation of the Gradient at the top left of the screen. (If you're not using Photoshop 6.0 or 7.0, you'll need to click on the Options tab, and click "Edit" instead.)
Set up brown, orange, and white tabs as shown.

6 – Creating the tiger's fur

Click on your Background layer, then click and hold down the Gradient Tool at the top of your image. Move the cursor downwards, and then release the mouse button.
To give the fur a realistic texture, click Filter > Noise > Add Noise. Put in 5% worth of Monochromatic, Gaussian noise.
Click Filter > Blur > Motion Blur. Set the Distance to 5, and choose a diagonal angle.
To give the image a smooth transition from fur to blank white area, use the Brush Tool, with a soft brush about 45 pixels in size. Brush across the bottom of the image. Hold Shift while you do this, to keep the line straight.

7 – A shadowy text header

Use the Text Tool to Type in your heading in black. I've used Palatino Linotype font here. Make the first letter bigger, and increase the letter spacing by putting a space between each letter (you can increase the Tracking instead, if you have the option.)
Right-click on this new text layer, and Duplicate it. Change the font colour to white.
Choose the Move Tool, and press Up Arrow, Left Arrow. This moves the white text, so that only a small part of the black text is visible, which makes it look like a shadow.
You could use Blending Options to do this instead, but this method is easier, and can be done in any version of Photoshop.
Click File > Save For Web, and save your image as a Quality 60 Jpeg.

8 – Recycling the header to make a footer

Click the eyeball next to each of your text layers to hide them.
Click Image > Rotate Canvas > 180°
With the Move tool selected, move the black stripy layer down, so only the tips of the stripes are visible.
Click on the "fur" layer, and Press Ctrl+T. Drag the top of the selection down, to make it narrower.
Use the Selection Tool to select the area you want, and click Image > Crop. This trims off the unwanted white space at the top.
Click File > Save For Web, and save your image as a Quality 60 Jpeg.
